What does an axe throwing session look like?

After you have booked your session, day, and time you will arrive at our location: 4/41-45 York Rd, Jamisontown 2750.

Meet Your Coach

Your group will by greeted by one of our Axe throwing coaches who will be with you for the whole session.

The Tour

Your private coach will show your group around the facility and go over some important information including getting all group members to fill out one of our waiver of liability forms.

Your journey begins

Your private axe throwing coach demonstrate the fundamentals of axe throwing. From the anatomy of an AXE, to how to find the perfect throwing position, as well as style and stance.

Tournament time!

In your 2 hour session we will have some free throw practice and run a few fun games, finishing with a mini tournament so you can crown a winner for the day!

Chill out!

After your 2 hour session you are welcome to hang out in our chill out zone with your group. Sit back, relax and have a few cold (non alcoholic) beers and refreshments.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Who can throw an axe?

Anyone. As long as you have enclosed foot wear you're A-OK to throw.

Are there any age restrictions?

Yes, the minimum age to throw is 13 and must be accompanied by a paying adult.

What are your hours?

Monday to Sunday 9:20am-10:30pm (8:30pm is the latest booking. We are open by appointment only, so please click the book now button to book your session.

How many people do we need in our group?

Throwing Axes is lots of fun - especially in a group! We recommend groups of 6 or more for maximum FUN.

Do you have wheel chair accessibility?

Yes. All of our bathrooms and axe cages are wheel chair accessible.

What if we are late?

If you are running late, please call and let us know you are still coming. We can not extend booking times. But we will endeavour to give you the best experience we can, with the remaining time. We like to encourage car pooling, that way everyone arrives on time!

What if our group size changes?

If you have booked a group and your size changes, please let us know ahead of time to accomodate for staffing arrangements. If your booking drops below 6 people, that is ok, just be aware that the minimum charge of 6 people will still apply and your round robin games might not run for as long.

Do we need to make a booking?

Yes. We are open by appointment only.

Can we just walk-in?

We wouldn't recommend it. BUT if the doors are open and there is a cage free, you are welcome to come throw. Please note this is subject to availability and minimum group sizes still apply.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, as well as all major credit cards, including Visa, MasterCard.

Cancellation policy:

If you need to cancel, you will get a full refund if you cancel 14 days* or more before your booked session. Anything less than 14 days notice will mean that you forfeit your deposit. If a booking can not go ahead due to Government restrictions, your booking will be moved to another date. *Bookings in December require 1 months notice to cancel to receive refund.

How can we book a party, bucks, hens, team building session?

Easy, all you have to do is book as normal. Just make sure give us as much juicy information about your event as possible, so we can make it an event you wont forget!

Do you sell alcohol?

We have a liquor licence and a bar with beverages from our local brewery Rusty Penny. Alcohol is to be consumed after axe throwing.

Do you cater?

Catering packages are available upon request. Please email us if you require catering, and we can discuss all options.

Can we bring our own snacks?

Yes, you can bring nibbles for your group. Just check with us ahead of your session. Remember, no alcohol!

What do I wear to throw an axe?

You can wear anything you feel comfortable in, but you MUST have enclosed footwear.
